HA! Chippy’s been getting punched in the face for a long long time I guess. Still, he’s got a chin that makes Leno say “Dam, that guy’s got a huge chin!” so can take some hits.

I knew Loopus could take it. And from a mad Scot, too! Impressive.

Hey thanks everyone!
This is actually something I’ve wanted to address for a while. Waaaaaay back in strip number 3 or 4, I had Chippy beat the ever loving piss out of Loopus for stealing his credit card. This beating lasted 3 days, which is short compared to the fights I’m doing these days, but it seemed epic at the time. In the 3rd strip, Chippy stands exausted, Loopus asks “Are you finished?” He then easily gets up and they go and have a beer. Later, when I established Chippy’s incredible strength, it occured to me that Loopus is the only character who ever took a beating from Chippy and was not then rendered comatose, (well, Loopus and Paco). I decided to play to this, and say that Loopus is so braindead, he can take a beating from ANYONE and immediately walk away from it. Here it is 3 years later and I’m just know mentioning it in the strip. It was time, I guess.
Thanks again for the comments folks!!! Tom, Scott, Zac, Greg and Dawn!!! You make this worthwhile!

I know how you feel. Between Nov ’08 and April ’09, I posted a novel on my blog a chapter at a time. When you’re not getting paid, it’s the comments that show people are reading and appreciating the work that keep you going.
