Today’s Episode: Stay on Target!…
This was fun. I actually did some research in order to accurately draw the girl’s outfits. No, I didn’t go to a club. I merely googled “stripper costumes” and boom! I had tons of links to online stores that sell, guess what? Stripper costumes! You have no idea how many variations there are on the “School girl” outfit.

I love how even the gay frogs are calling the guys on the carpet for not being revved up by those ladies (who are well-drawn by the way). Really got to say I’ve been loving the sensibilities of this strip. It’s got this classic 50′s style look but with a very modern flair to the dialogue and plotlines.

Are those “leg warmers” on the third girl or boots? I just realized that after all this time, I noticed that only the girls are human in this strip. The Feminists would kick me out of womanhood for this. On another note, I was certain you would put a little “Twilight” vampire glitter on the girls. Sorry that my last post looked like spam, and I hate spam. You can delete the two duplicate posts if you want.

Hey Greg!!! Thanks! I guess I have an old school drawing style because most of my heroes come from that era. Walt Kelly, Harvey Kurtzman (Hey Look! period) Fred Moore, and most recently, Irv Spector’s comic strip work are the inspirations I’m drawing upon when I work on the strip. However, when it comes to what I find funny, it’s mostly contemporary; Howard Stern, George Carlin, Kids in the Hall, Artie Lange, Patton Oswalt, Ricky Gervais etc. Thanks for reading sir, and thanks for commenting!
Hey Amber! The girl is wearing these crazy giant boots that I found on at least 3 of the Online Stripper costume stores. I thought they looked interesting, visually, so I put them on Candee.
Yes, the only humans that will EVER appear in Chippy and Loopus are the strippers. Why?
No real reason. In strip number 3, Loopus is in a strip club watching a human girl dance. I showed the strip to my wife, and she laughed, so I posted it. This was wildly popular, so I had the characters go back, again and again until it became one of my favorite tropes.
Then, when I went to introduce the mobsters, I initially drew them as humans. When I showed the strip to my wife, she said “That’s wierd. Why is Chippy punching humans? Make them animals.” I said “Really? Not people?” “NO.” She said firmly. “What about the strippers? They are human” “Yeah? so?” she replied. “You don’t find that odd?” I continued, confused. “Nope”.
I shrugged my shoulders and resolved that the only humans that will ever appear in the strip would be the strippers. No one has ever complained. You are the first to actually point it out. If feminists have a problem with it, well…who gives a shit.
You know, no one had ever complained about anything I’ve ever done. EVER. I kind of wish they would. If anyone has a complaint, speak up!!! Let’s talk!
Hey Mitch!!! Yes they are! And there is more to come! Stay tuned!

Weird, but I didn’t even notice until you said something. The human strippers just seemed to fit.
Not sure what to make of that.

I’m not sure what to make of that either. It’s odd.
One of the things I always wanted to do is have a couple of characters that I could send on any type of adventure, kind of like “Bullwinkle and Rocky”. In that show, Bullwinkle and Rocky were the only animals in their world. In the little world that I set up, I introduced Chippy, then Loopus, then the strippers, and then Phil the pig. I think if Phil were a human, it would have gone a different way. As it was, I developed a kind of a Pogo type of world where animals walk and talk, drive cars, live in houses, and have jobs. IT seemed wierd to introduce humans into this world. …except in the case of the strippers. I can’t explain it.

You really want a complaint? You might bring Handel back.

Of course that’s more of a critique than a complaint.
